The imperfections and irregularities of hand paintings are the human element that cannot be replicated by a computer algorithm. In a world where everything is becoming increasingly automated and mass-produced, hand paintings are becoming a break from the norm. I am fascinated by patterns because they could theoretically repeated into infinity while at the same time every little part of it stands for a world of its own. I often paint dots in repetitive movements, my background is in fashion and textile design, and my approach to painting is influenced by it.
